Rocha Lobo Photographer

With publications in the main Brazilian media such as newspapers, magazines, articles and participation in exhibitions and published books, Rocha Lobo was also a speaker on the photographic theme.
Born in 1976 and born in São Paulo - SP, Brazil, at the age of five (1981) he won the prize in the drawing contest held by "Shopping Center Ibirapuera" and the publication of his name in the newspaper "Folha de S.Paulo". At that time, his mother, who worked at Kodak do Brasil, gave him an Instamatic camera and took him to the city's theaters, starting him early in the experience of photographic exploration and where he was fascinated by the control of light and by all the magic of this art.
He lived in Vancouver, Canada in 1996 and in Washington DC, USA, from 2000 to 2005, where he participated in photographic meetings, workshops and began to practice his experience with photography more consistently. Moment he acquired his first professional film (film) camera.
In 2013, back in Brazil, he started his work for a photojournalism agency, in which he launched a successful career, getting publications in the main websites and newspapers in the country and some exclusive photos of international repercussion, among which, the sites: UOL , BandNews, R7, Yahoo, G1-Globo and publications printed in Jornal Folha de S.Paulo (cover), Revista Folha de S.Paulo and Revista Veja - Special Edition, O Estado de S.Paulo (inside), Jornal Mais ( inside and cover), Jornal Diário de São Paulo (inside and cover), Jornal Agora S.Paulo (inside and cover), Jornal Diário Regional (inside and cover), Jornal Metro (inside and cover), Jornal Destak (cover).
As of 2014 Rocha Lobo joined the “Canon do Brasil” team to add to the “CPS - Canon Professional Services” program, acting as a professional photographic product specialist and exclusively serving professional photographers. He developed and carried out events in the capitals of Brazil such as lectures and workshops, as well as visits to the editorial of the main newspapers in each capital and international events such as “Copa América 2015”-Chile, and “Olimpics Rio 2016”,-Brazil.
Selected to represent the Brazilian team at the company's Headquarters in New York - USA, in order to receive specialized training on the new professional line camera that would be launched a few months later, bringing with it a prototype of the product, to Brazil with the mission to develop and carry out training focused on the Olympics and Motorsport (Stock Car / Formula-1).
The contact with several professional photographers taught him a lot about the aspects of photography and, after moving to Toronto - Canada in 2019, Rocha Lobo started to make records around the city as "Street Photographer" and in 2022 he opened his photographic studio, expanding his essays and light control experiments, more specifically aimed at portrait portrait inspirations.
